Everything expires,  finishes, deteriorates

Our health deteriorates just like our confidence, our loves, our dreams, our pains.

But in the end, the last thing to expire is hope.

 

Fecha de Caducidad is a journey of discovery. It is about a group of individuals confronting their personal expiry dates - happiness, love, power, failure and dreams - contained in a fragile world where reality and  fantasy blur.  

 

Moments of poetic beauty, of heart stopping risk, of cruelly funny circus combine with elements of physical theatre and dance, to create a visually stunning and emotionally charged show. 

 

The circus elements or apparatus offer the characters both location and metaphor for their own journeys. Fragility and failure is heightened when balancing or walking upon bottles; innocence and happiness is lost when outside of a swinging trapeze; when the aerial slings fall to the floor and offer knots of instability, love is difficult to hold onto…

 

Scenes seamlessly unfold  onstage, inventively supported by a large floating wall, an eclectic soundtrack, and breathtaking lighting design,  as the group try to find answers to the question in common….

 Todo termina, acaba, caduca...
La salud caduca con el tiempo, como la confianza, el amor, los sueños, o el dolor...
Pero al final, lo último en morir es la esperanza.
 

Fecha de Caducidad es un viaje.

Es un grupo de personas confrontando su propia fecha de caducidad

(felicidad, amor, poder, fracaso, sueños) en un mundo frágil donde la realidad y fantasia se confunden.

 

Momentos de belleza, poesía, tensión, riesgo y crueldad, se combinan con circo, danza y teatro físico para crear un espectáculo cargado de emociones.

 

Los elementos circenses ofrecen a los personajes tanto una locación como una metáfora física que dirige su viaje. La fragilidad y el fracaso se amplifican cuando se busca el equilibrio sobre botellas; inocencia y felicidad se buscan mientras el trapecio se balancea, las eslingas crean nudos de inestabilidad al caer al suelo, haciendo difícil sostener el amor...

 

Las escenas se suceden paulatinamente, con un muro flotante que se transforma, una banda sonora ecléctica, un diseño de luces asombrosas, mientras el grupo intenta encontrar respuestas a una pregunta en común.... ¿Que pasa cuando llegamos a la Fecha de Caducidad?!
